The Poetic form of the Week is Monoku. 

Monoku is a senryu/haiku with a slight enigmatic/ambiguous flavour, written in its earlier Japanese form as a one liner. A ceaesura (pause) may be appropriate, dictated by sense or speech rhythm,and usually very little punctuation. Seveteen syllables or less. They may also be in a sequence form.

Few Examples of Monoku:

#1 listen to the pause – silence is golden

#2 in the midst of death – lichens come to life

#3 a kite overhead – still as a road-kill

#4 the snow covers the pasture – the haystacks disappear

#5 the school-bus departs – she eats the advent candy
