My moments of de-stress
A mumbaikar by heart and soul,
I live a weekend in work’s control.
And when my work piles up,
stress creeps in
making me nervous, under pressure and tensed.
My travel back home is drenched in thoughts
of my work assignments-
few pending reports, bills to pay, presentations to prepare
and sometimes amidst all this,
I sigh at a poor me!
But when I reach home,
I always have my mother’s smile
to welcome me and her words,
“Go have a shower dear, get fresh!”,
which makes me forget my busy life for a while.
Then begins my moments of de-stress,
well I don’t have one, but I own five!
A sip of coffee with mother at the balcony
and watching the sunset cast silhouettes
over a busy, eventful and lively city,
while we engage in a million conversations,
helps me to unwind and relax.
I enjoy watching cartoons at 8 during night-
Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Disney Princesses, Aladin,
thus, capturing a few lost moments of childhood
and living a handful of laughters
which only helps me to build my heart, a little more merrier!
I sometimes go to the beach at night
and stare at the calm and serene night,
tucking my toes in the sand, feeling its coolness,
which envelopes me away from my worries,
soothing my mind and gifting me moments of tranquil.
When I head home, I always have words
lingering through my mind, as I pen about how my day was,
venting my emotions and experiences
as I see them engraved in syllables and words
and hidden within the confines of my diary.
Later, when I am tucked in bed,
prayers build my hope and heal my mind,
while I hope otherwise and think
about how near my weekend is,
making me bask in the glory of an untitled happiness.

One can also de-stress by a hot oil massage to keep yourself calm. Watch the below video to know how-
I am going to try a new quick way to De-stress & #SlowDownZindagi using Parachute Advansed Aromatherapy Oil in association with BlogAdda
I love this concept of an ‘untitled happiness’ that is yet to come on the weekend. Glorious 🙂
